A man is injured after a shooting incident in Fort Worth on Friday night, police say. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, units were dispatched to the 3700 block of Century Place at 11:43 p.m. on April 3. Police said the officers were investigating a situation involving a male suspe ct who was possibly under the influence and was soliciting minors for sexual favors. As the officers arrived at the scene, they heard a single gunshot and called it out over the radio, police said. According to police, the officers then saw someone who matched the suspect’s description near a convenience store, walking towards the nearby apartments. Police said the officers detained the suspect and learned that he had been shot in the groin by a group of three individuals. Marckus Renfro, one of the three people in the shooter’s group, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Tarrant County arrest records. According to police, the man who was shot in the groin was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
