On Tuesday, Oakland police said its missing persons unit coordinated a search with neighboring law enforcement agencies, along with 60 friends, family, and volunteers. The search "centered on Dimond Park, where recent video footage placed Hillyard around 4:30 p.m. on March 25, 2026, the day she was last seen."
A statement released by Amy's husband, Chris, on Thursday reads, "As more time goes by without Amy, the agony of her absence is devastating. We are still holding on to hope, thanks to Amy’s community of friends and volunteers who continue to search every day. They are a source of strength to our family and me.”
On Friday, the Oakland Police Department and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office search and rescue units canvassed Skyline Gate, considered to be one of Amy's favorite places to hike and walk.
