Mayor Gorton joined Lextran General Manager Fred Combs and community partners today to officially launch LexRide, a new downtown ride service designed to connect some of Lexington’s most popular downtown destinations. To celebrate the launch, Mayor Gorton announced a special promotion: LexRide wi ll be free for the opening weekend of the service, April 2, 3 and 4. “We’ve worked hard to build and maintain a thriving downtown area,” Gorton said. “A lot of our progress is thanks to strong partnerships.
