Apr 02, 2026
Whether it’s a delicious slice of pizza or scrumptious chicken tenders and fries, Yankee Stadium has plenty of food options set for the 2026 season.
Streetbird chef Marcus Samuelsson offered a preview of some of the new offerings, ranging from a new fried chicken sandwich to drumstick-shaped
ice cream.
“What could be better than an afternoon of watching the Yankees play, eating delicious food?” Samuelsson told News 4.
The jaw-dropping menu launches on Opening Day, when the Yankees host the Miami Marlins this Friday.
The menu also highlights a new spin on the 99 burger, and fun mash-ups like the Italian sausage empanada from Nuchas.
“2026 is the year of the empanada,” Ariel Barbouth, chef of Nuchas, said. “Antibiotic-free, all clean labeled, all made scooped by hand.”
Yankee Stadium will feature an abundance of bold flavors through new and returning stands across the ballpark.
“We’re back with our famous steak sandwich, which has been very, very popular,” Lobel’s co-owner Mark Lobel said. “New for this year, we have our pastrami-loaded fries.”
In addition, the park will also have sweet and savory dumplings, along with a list of new cocktails to try, including a watermelon margarita.
The concessions are sure to knock it out of the park, to the delight of Yankee fans, who celebrate the team’s early success to start the season.
The Yankees head into Friday’s game with a 5-1 record, as they host the Marlins for a three-game set in The Bronx.
“To see the smiles on the fans’ faces and to see them coming back year after year is just an incredible feeling for us,” one vendor said.
