Learn about Mexico’s rich history with liquor in an immersive experience at Tequila Town
Apr 02, 2026
Most tequila nights, you forget – or regret – the next morning, until now. There’s a new, immersive way to taste and savor the experience. The mayor of Tequila Town, Deco’s Alex Miranda, gives us the VIP treatment, where you can have the best tequila of your life.
Viva Mexico and Tequila
Town! Now open in Hialeah.
Alex: “What is Tequila Town and how do you experience it?”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “So Tequila Town is an immersive experience, so since the moment you arrived, you start really getting into this totally different dimension. We’re talking about 25,000 square feet, 10 rooms, they’re all activated in different ways, so you’re not necessarily guided from place to place. You can follow your curiosity and there will be actors.”
Lazaro: “We don’t drink to forget, we drink to remember, and here we remember our family members, our patriarchs, our matriarchs, you know, the glue that holds our Latino families together.”
Alex: “How much drinking are we doing here?”
Lazaro: “Don’t pound or you’ll make regretful decisions.”
Alex: “But isn’t that the fun of tequila?”
Lazaro: “Life is too short to have bad memories of drinking tequila.”
Alex: “And bad tequila.”
Lazaro: “Sounds good, you’re sipping it. Wait, wait, no, he’s chugging.”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “You get one welcome drink and four tastings. Five if you buy a VIP entrance.”
Alex: “Perfect.”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “And we’re telling the story of tequila, which is the best part.”
Learning is fun here. Vamos!
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “So the journey takes you initially to the tequila express. You go through the train and you actually arrive to the town of tequila, in this room that we call ‘La Tahona.’ And then, through La Rojeña, the first distillery ever for tequila.”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “You go through 1800 in order to really understand your palette. And from there, all the way to Reserva de la Familia, which is this really unique room. You walk through the mercado and then that leads you to the Centenario room.”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “Afterwards, you enter Club Cristalino and you have the option to hang for a longer time at the bigger mercado.”
Tickets start at just under 80 peso… I mean $80.
Alex: “It’s so beautiful and it’s like nothing I think Miami has ever seen. I’m blown away.”
Danie Gomez Ortigoza: “This starts with so much love for Mexico and more than anything tequila, you know, like tequila represents so much of our culture.”
