SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A woman who drowned while kayaking with her boyfriend and a dog in Tomales Bay near Point Reyes is being remembered as "someone who lived fully and fearlessly," according to a verified GoFundMe page. Brigitte Manspeaker, 37, died after windy weather whipped up waves and the c ouple's kayak capsized on March 21. A Sonoma County Sheriff's Office helicopter unit spotted the boyfriend clinging to the orange kayak. They used a 100-foot longline to hoist the boyfriend, who was suffering from cold water exposure, out of the bay to safety. He told deputies that his girlfriend had slipped out of her life jacket.
