Green scene: Eat avocado ice cream and guactastic goodies at a Fallbrook fest
Mar 31, 2026
IF EACH MONTH ROCKED A SPECIFIC HUE, and different times of year had their seasonal colors done, it would make sense that April would be the absolute greenest of scenes. It’s true that December also has a stake in shades of emerald, forest, and hunter, but the fourth month is the frilliest when it
comes to new growth, baby plants, fresh sprouts, tender shoots, and in California, some of the greenest goings-on around. SO. MANY. ASPARAGUS. SNACKS: Asparagus ice cream is on the festival’s menu, and asparagus corn dogs, and asparagus nachos, too, as well as a host of dishes that employ the spear in all sorts of surprising and delectable ways. Spears, er, here’s to April’s greenest gatherings, be they avocado- or asparagus-inspired.
