Two people were injured after a house fire in Westwood Tuesday, according to Cincinnati Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Matt Flagler.Flagler said CFD received reports of a fire in the 3100 block of West Tower Lane around 9:
12 p.m. Tuesday, with 911 calls coming from both inside the home and nearby.Firefighters arrived and found the fire had started on the first floor of the home and spread up to the roof. The fire chief said crews faced obstacles inside the house while trying to put the fire out, including "heavy hoarding conditions" and dogs in the building.WATCH: What we know about the fire 1 person in critical condition, 1 seriously injured after Westwood house fireFirefighters found one man near the front door in serious condition with non-life-threatening injuries, Flagler said.After the fire was extinguished, Flagler said crews located another man near the back of the home in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.Both people were taken to the hospital, according to Flagler.Around 50 firefighters responded to the scene, and none were injured.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.This is a breaking news story.
