On Tuesday at 2:17 p.m. a severe thunderstorm watch was released by the National Weather Service valid between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. in effect until 9 p.m. for Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins and Yates counties.
