LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Christian Academy has named Mike Stone as its new head boys basketball coach, the school announced Monday. Stone takes over the Eagles program after spending the past seven seasons as an assistant coach at Transylvania University. He replaces Ted Hall, who had led the program since 2019. A former player at Transylvania, Stone returned to his alma mater in 2019 as an assistant coach. Prior to that, he served as an assistant at Lexington Catholic High School from 2013 to 2019. Stone now steps into his first head coaching role at the high school level with the Eagles. “I’m incredibly honored and excited to join Lexington Christian Academy,” Stone wrote in a statement published by LCA. “This is a special community with a strong commitment to excellence in academics, athletics and faith. I look forward to building relationships with our student athletes and helping them grow as competitors, teammates and leaders. We’re going to establish a culture built on discipline, accountability, and pride in wearing the LCA jersey.” Categories: High School Sports, Sports ...read more read less
