Peak bloom is here. Snap photos of our favorite spring florals at Petalpalooza, BloomFest, and more cherry blossom events this week. You can also spend Easter with the family at Capital One Center’s outdoor egg hunt and run.

Petalpalooza. Our beloved cherry blossoms have reached peak bloom. To celebrate, head to the Anacostia River this weekend to view art installations, watch a dazzling fireworks show, and listen to live music along the river banks at Petalpalooza (Sat, free, Capitol Riverfront).
Easter at Capital One Center. The Perch at Capital One Center is commemorating the Easter holiday with an array of outdoor activities. Participants can go on a Color Fun Run, unwind at goat yoga, take photos in pastel attire with the Easter Bunny, adopt a puppy, play lawn games, and join a paint-and sip-class (Sat, $20+, Tysons).
Nate Bargatze standup. The Big Dumb Eyes tour arrives in DC this week for two hilarious standup shows. Chuckle at comedian and podcaster Nate Bargatze’s clean humor and monotone quips (Thurs-Fri, $48+, Capital One Arena).
The Minutes at Keegan Theatre. Don’t miss the DC premiere of The Minutes—a mysterious satire about truth-telling—at Keegan Theatre (Sat through May 3, $55, Dupont Circle).
BloomFest at the Tidal Basin. Check out a ton of free concerts at BloomFest. This National Cherry Blossom Festival event brings more than 100 regional and international acts to the Tidal Basin’s outdoor ANA Stage daily through April 11. There’s flamenco and Zumba dance, local duos such as deTournai, ’80s rock group the Noize, and many others (through April 11, free, National Mall).
