Mar 30, 2026
OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) -- Dozens of people gathered at Lake Merritt in Oakland on Sunday night for a candlelight vigil for Amy Hillyard, a 52-year-old woman who has been missing since March 25.
The California Highway Patrol has issued an endangered missing advisory for Hillyard, who is considered a
t risk due to a medical condition.
Hillyard was last seen at 2 p.m. on March 25 walking on Radnor Road. She and her husband are the co-owners of Farley's Coffee and have two daughters currently in college.
At the time she was last seen, Hillyard was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, light jeans and white sneakers with blue stripes.

Tom Green, a close family friend whose children attended school with the Hillyard family, urged the community to review security footage for potential leads.
"Maybe someone will see her, or has seen her, or has Ring camera video that has recorded her in the last couple days and doesn't know it," Green said. "If they just take a look at that recording they might see that she was on that camera walking on Wednesday, March 25 when she went missing. They might be able to give us that lead to help us find her."
Since her disappearance, approximately 200 people have volunteered to assist in search efforts, Green said.
The Oakland Police Department has not provided a recent update on the case. Friends and family members said they are hoping the Alameda County Sheriff's Office will become involved to provide additional resources and more eyes on the search.
A tipline dedicated to Hillyard's case has been established by friends at 510-591-4857. Anyone who may have seen Hillyard or has relevant video footage is encouraged to call.
