The recent Mavs Ball raised nearly $1.5 million for the Mavs Foundation, which then uses the funds to support community initiatives. The event also did something good for seniors in two housing developments. After the event, volunteers worked quickly to collect orchids and hydrangeas and loaded a truck full of arrangements. Those beautiful bouquets of flowers were then delivered to residents at the Brompton Community Housing Development and Hillside West Senior Living in Dallas. For the past three years, Brandy Voirin has transformed the event’s floral arrangements into gifts for those who could use a little brightness in their lives.
