Firefighters say they were called to the scene at around 2 a.m. Upon arrival they found one home heavily involved with fire and the flames were quickly spreading to the two neighboring homes. One occupant in a neighboring house jumped from the second floor. Crews made entry and rescued a second occupant from that home on the second floor. All other residents of the properties involved escaped safely. During the operation one firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries and has since been released from the hospital. The fire was extinguished and it left all three homes uninhabitable. Seven people total have been left displaced. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office. Categories: Local News, News Tags: Columbia-Richland Fire Department, Fire ...read more read less
