NorthPark Center blooms with Fleurs de Villes floral exhibition this weekend

Sometimes you need a break — a little time to take in the beauty of nature. This week, visitors do not have to head outdoors to find it. They can just head inside NorthPark Center.
The Fleurs de Villes exhibition has returned to NorthPark, where floral artists are transforming flowers, fruit, m
oss and other materials into living sculptures that make shoppers stop in their tracks.
The exhibit features 17 floral sculptures, each created by artists paired with cultural nonprofit organizations that select a muse for inspiration. The result is a collection of imaginative, larger-than-life pieces built with everything from chicken wire and scissors to glue guns and a lot of creativity.
Tisa Zellers works on her creation for Fleurs de Villes, March 2026 at NorthPark Center.
Tisa Zellers with Sage Fine Flowers in North Richland Hills said the exhibition is a special opportunity that gives artists room to create something truly original.
“This is very unique. This is an opportunity that we jump at every year,” Zellers said.
NorthPark Center’s Shelby Foster said it is impressive to watch artists take a single idea and turn it into something unexpected. She said the artists are given wide creative freedom and fully embrace it.
“To watch these artists and see what they can create when they’re given free rein, they’re just given one inspiration from the nonprofit cultural group, and they really take it and run with it, it’s so impressive to see what they can do,” Foster said.

Zellers said working with fresh materials adds both beauty and a challenge to the process.
“Because we’re working with a medium that will die and we’re painting with things that have their own texture,” Zellers said.
Floral artist Edwardo Lua turned the Amon Carter Museum of American Art’s muse into a floral masterpiece of his own, layering natural materials into a sculpture designed to stand out among the exhibit’s many creations. Lua said knowing when to stop can be one of the hardest parts of the process.
“It’s hard because I’m a designer, so every time I need more and more and more, but I take a time, like five minutes, go back and say, ‘This is done,'” Lua said.

For some artists, the exhibit’s impact goes far beyond the visual display. Zellers said visitors often have emotional reactions to the work.
“Every year that we’ve done this I have grown women weeping and hugging me and telling me just how much it has impacted them,” Zellers said.
Foster said organizers hope the floral sculptures brighten the day for everyone who visits. She said the joy of the exhibit is shared by both artists and viewers.

“We hope it makes their day like it makes ours,” Foster said.
Judges chose the Best in Show winner earlier this week. The honor went to the Dallas Museum of Art muse by Dr. Delphinium.
Fleurs de Villes runs through Sunday, March 29.
