Florida man rides horse into Chick‑fil‑A drive‑through in viral video amid rising gas costs
Mar 27, 2026
A Florida man said yeehaw at the opportunity to ride his horse into a Chick‑fil‑A drive‑through.
Felipe Delamora, who posted the now‑viral footage recorded on a camera mounted to his glasses, said the pit stop happened on a whim.
“I was on my way home back from a ride on my horse, an
d I got thirsty, so I stopped through the Chick‑fil‑A drive‑through and had an amazing interaction with the employees,” Delamora reflected on the experience, per Newsflare.
The fast‑food crew lit up when their newest customer trotted in.
“What’s up, y’all? How are we doing today?” a worker named Mike said to the horse, Gitano, and Delamora excitedly. A couple of the workers asked to film the unexpected moment.
As a car approached the drive‑through, Mike stepped in to manage the lane. “Nobody better come in this lane,” he said, relieved when the driver chose the other side.
Still processing the unexpected sight, he looked up at Delamora. “Please tell me you’re getting food.”
“I’m not gonna get food, I’m gonna get a drink though,” Delamora replied.
Trying to enter the order, Mike asked his coworker, “What do I even put as his description… horse?!” while gesturing toward Gitano.
“Put ‘Other’,” she said.
“This hasn’t happened yet?” Delamora asked.
“Never, never has a horse came through the drive‑through,” Mike said. “This is amazing.”
Delamora ordered a Sunjoy, and Mike offered him a large one at a discounted price. After submitting the order, he used his walkie‑talkie to alert the rest of the staff.
“Guys, we have a horse,” he said, waiting for a response. “Hello? Are they freaked out?” He told them to check the cameras “right now.”
Mike later told his coworker he had been trying to notify the rest of the store. “I was just telling them that there’s a horse, like, do they care?” he said. She responded that the team had already been talking about it after spotting Gitano on the cameras.
Another employee approached and asked to take a photo for her daughter, who loves horses. “Oh my gosh, beautiful,” she said.
The video ended shortly after because, according to Delamora’s caption, the glasses he was using to film the encounter died.
Whether Delamora rides Gitano regularly due to high gas prices is unclear, but this isn’t the first time he’s been spotted doing it.
A viewer commented on the video, “Gas prices crazy,” to which the horseback rider replied, “Can’t afford it anymore.”
Other videos on Delamora’s TikTok page show him using his horse for school pickup, running errands around town and riding for leisure in his home state.
His experience reflects a broader trend. According to a recent LendingTree study, about a third of Americans (31%) have already made changes to their spending or saving habits because of higher gas prices while another 35% say they will if prices remain high. Additionally, more than 6 in 10 Americans with gas‑powered vehicles (62%) say their finances would be significantly affected if elevated prices persist for a month or longer.
With gas prices on the incline, who knows who — or what — might show up at the Chick‑fil‑A drive‑through next.
