Silent Walk for Peace at McPolin Farm
A silent walk for peace is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday at the McPolin Barn, 3000 N. S.R. 224. Elizabeth Lentz, who has organized these free walks, which are inspired by the 19 Buddhist monks who completed a 15-week, 2,300-mile Walk for Peace from Texas
to Washington, D.C., said this is the last one for her but encourages anyone to continue these events.
Red Hot Chilli Pipers
Red Hot Chilli Pipers will wrap its three-night run Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St. The band is known for spicing up the Scottish bagpipe tradition with a dose of classic-rock anthems. Wetland Climbing Wall at the Swaner EcoCenter
The Wetland Climbing Wall will open from 1:15-3:15 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Swaner Preserve EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive at Kimball Junction. Climbers of all ages can move through the Preserve’s ecosystem from bedrock to uplands. Pre-registration is encouraged. Next Chapter Book Club at the Park City Library
Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave., hosts the Next Chapter Book Club from noon-1 p.m. Mondays. The club is open to all adults with varying developmental abilities. Club members eat lunch, read books and share stories with friends. For information, visit parkcitylibrary.org.
History Book Club at the Summit County Library
The History Book Club will discuss David A. Nichols’ “Ike and McCarthy: Dwight Eisenhower’s Secret Campaign against Joseph McCarthy” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Room 133 of the Kimball Junction Branch, 1885 W. Ute Blvd. The discussion, which has been rescheduled from March 24, will be held in-person and virtually.
