Record breaking warmth
Mar 27, 2026
If you’ve been waiting for that true taste of summer today is your day.
We are in for a big warm-up, with temperatures soaring into the upper 80s to 90 degrees by this afternoon. That’s not just warm it’s record-challenging heat. The current record for the day is 85 degrees, set back
in 1950, and we’re expected to beat it.
It’ll feel more like early summer than spring, so if you’re heading out, be ready for the heat.
Now, this warmth doesn’t stick around for long. A weak cold front will slide in tonight. It’s not bringing much with it a very small chance for a passing shower late evening, but it will flip the switch on our temperatures.
By the weekend, we’re noticeably cooler.
Saturday will feel much different, with highs only in the lower 60s, and Sunday stays on the mild side with temperatures in the mid 60s. It’ll be a refreshing change, especially after the near-record warmth. Morning lows are a talker with feels-like temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
The good news is we stay dry through the weekend and even into early next week. In fact, another warming trend is already on the way, bringing temperatures right back up again.
ENJOY!
