Former employee arrested for stealing cash from Danville, Indiana, McDonald’s DANVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — On March 16, Danville Police were called to a McDonalds on Main Street/U.S. 36. to investigate a burglary that had occurred earlier that day. The manager of the McDonald’s called the p olice after they noticed that the office safe was open and cash was missing. Police reviewed the security camera footage and saw a man enter the restaurant, walk back to the office, and open the safe after attempting multiple different codes. He removed the cash, put it in his backpack, and left the building. On Tuesday, police encountered a person matching the man in the security camera footage. The man was identified as 22-year-old Caden Stafford of Danville. On Wednesday, Stafford was asked by police to come into the station for an interview. Stafford initially denied involvement in the burglary but later admitted to the crime. Stafford had previously worked at the McDonalds and had kept a key to the building without the manager’s knowledge.
