One of San Antonio’s favorite places for a facial is preparing to pamper the North Side. Hiatus Day Spa is opening a new location at the Village at Stone Oak shopping center at 22602 US-281 N.The $1 million build-out of the new 4,741-square-foot spa is slated to begin in May, according to state re gulatory filings. The shopping center’s directory confirms Hiatus is “coming soon,” but does not reveal an opening date.Hiatus, founded in Dallas by Kristin Heaton-Peabody and Sheila Garrison, made its San Antonio debut at Pearl in 2017, offering traditional day spa services like massages, manicures, and waxing. The concept was heavily booked from the get-go.When the company added medical cosmetic procedures to its portfolio, it became even more difficult to just drop in. Hiatus responded by opening a second San Antonio spa just steps away from the original in spring 2024.It’s unclear what services the Stone Oak spot will be offering. Most locations offer some combination of traditional and med spa bookings. All offer the H-Circle membership program, which includes a select service per month, discounts, special offers, and 10 percent off products for $89 a month. Hiatus did not respond to a request for comment, and employees at the Pearl location were not aware of the new location.
