Tue evening forecast – Mar 24, 2026
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We will continue to warm up in big ways through midweek.
This will lead way to the possibility of record highs Thursday with severe storm potential.
Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Wednesda
y: Warmer and pleasant under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will turn a little more breezy as highs push into the upper 60s to low 70s.
Thursday: We’re in for an active and warm day. This will kick off with the potential for scattered showers and isolated storms. It isn’t impossible for there to be some isolated small hail as well with this activity.
Then, we’ll work in on record high potential by the afternoon hours with numbers in the low 80s. The Indianapolis record high for March 26 is 80 from 1907.
After that, all eyes turn toward redevelopment of showers and storms near and just behind a cold front into the evening and nighttime hours. There is a Level 2 of 5, strong-to-severe storm risk across a good chunk of Indiana. Hail and wind will be the primary threats.
7-Day Forecast: Temperatures will once again drop quite a bit Friday with highs falling back into the upper 40s. Expect temperatures to quickly rebound through the last weekend of March.
