ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is asking the public for help in providing information about a shooting that occurred at the Timberland Park Apartment Community late Friday evening. In a press release shared on Tuesday, March 24, police shared that it is seeki ng help from the public for information that could help investigators identify the people involved in a shooting on Friday, March 20, at the Timberland Park Apartment Community. At 10:14 p.m. that Friday, officers responded to the apartment community for reports of shots fired. Once on the scene, officers found an man with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released, according to officials. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 434-977-4000. Calls can be made anonymously. Residents can also register their exterior security cameras for free on the Albemarle County Police Department Neighborhood link here.
