PINEVILLE, N.C. – Fire crews are on the scene of an apartment fire in Pineville. It happened on Willow Run Road behind Atrium Health Pineville, just off Interstate 485  just after 3 a.m. Medic says one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. They believe the victim was hurt t rying to escape the fire. The fire displaced two families. A total of 3 apartments were damaged. According to fire officials, one of them was empty.
