According to LPD, officers responded shortly after 9pm Saturday about a report of 18 to 20 teens or young adults fighting in the park.  A second report came about 75 to 100 people involved and that someone may have fired a gun. The State Patrol’s Airwing helped LPD in finding several people fleeing from Mahoney Park.  No victims of an assault were found and one of the people officers tried to contact initially ran from police but stopped and surrendered after a short foot pursuit. Police say 18-year-old Javia Clark was searched and he was found to have a handgun on him, which had the serial number partially scratched off. Clark was arrested for possession of a defaced firearm, carrying a concealed weapon by a prohibited person and obstructing a peace officer. ...read more read less
