The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 8:19 a.m. on Sunday for freezing rain until 10:30 a.m. for St. Lawrence, Clinton and Essex counties.“Several sites across the Champlain Valley and northern New York are in the process of switching to freezing rain or freezing drizzle.
