The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 3:49 a.m. on Saturday for fog until 7 a.m. for Chemung, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware and Sullivan counties."Moist conditions will allow areas of patchy dense fog to persist early this morning. Be prepared for rapid fluctuat ions in visibility. Also, temperatures will drop to near freezing in the higher elevations early this morning.
