Electrical equipment failure in underground vault triggers outage in SF

An unplanned power outage on Friday impacted multiple San Francisco neighborhoods.
The outage was sparked by an electrical equipment failure in an underground vault, according to PGE. The vault is located at 18th and Guerrero streets in the Mission district.
PGE said crews late Friday were pat
rolling impacted areas and working to restore service.
Nearly 14,000 customers were impacted by the outage.
As of 5 p.m., just over 3,000 customers were still without service, PGE said.
