March 20, 2026 morning forecast with Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) – Warm temperatures continuing all throughout the weekend. We could be talking about record readings on Sunday. We will end the weekend out with a chance for some showers and thunderstorms and behind this system temperat ures drop back to normal for early next week. TODAY: Starting out with some clouds across parts of central Indiana this morning. We will look for very mild temperatures for the afternoon. High temperatures will climb a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday. Look for highs around 75 which is well above our normal high of 54. Look for sunshine into the afternoon with winds picking up. Winds may gust around 20 to 25 mph.  TONIGHT: Clouds begin to increase later tonight and temperatures will fall right around 43. TOMORROW: This weekend will be picture perfect. If you’re going to be running in the donut dash in the morning you may see a little bit of cloud cover. Temperatures will be into the 40s and lower 50s by race time. Look for partly cloudy skies later in the afternoon with high temperatures near 70. We will see partly cloudy conditions into the afternoon on Saturday.  The Indy Eleven home opener will be dry and mild. Temperatures by the beginning of the match will be into the upper sixties. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Record readings possible on Sunday. High temperatures will climb right around 82. That is the record for Sunday set back in 1907. It will be breezy as well on Sunday with a cold front that will pass through. That will bring us a chance for some showers and thunderstorms some of which could be on the stronger side. We do have a level two out of a level 5 risk of strong thunderstorms. The main threat will be gusty winds and some hail.  Temperatures drop back to normal behind the system for early next week.
