Woman pleads not guilty in deadly DUI hitandrun crash in Pleasant Hill

(KRON) -- A Concord woman accused of crashing into pedestrians inside a Pleasant Hill crosswalk, killing a woman, and fleeing the scene while she was intoxicated pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, according to the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.
Formal charges against 45-year-old Angelina
Marina Solis in connection to the March 8 deadly collision were filed in Superior Court on Tuesday by the district attorney’s office. She was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury, driving with a .08% blood alcohol content causing injury and leaving the scene of an accident.
According to prosecutors, Solis was driving northbound on Contra Costa Boulevard at 1:49 a.m. when she reached the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and ran a red light. She allegedly crashed into two pedestrians using the crosswalk and then drove away.

A 41-year-old Pleasant Hill woman, identified as Timarie Rachelle Orso, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other individual was uninjured.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department located Solis and arrested her the same morning.
On Wednesday, Solis pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied the enhancements of fleeing the scene of a crime and causing great bodily injury to the victim. Bail was set at $350,000.
The case returns to court for a preliminary hearing on March 27.
