FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A dog died, and a firefighter was hurt following a house fire in Franklin on Monday evening. The City of Franklin Fire Department provided details about the fire on Facebook. Firefighters, along with a handful of mutual aid partners, arrived at the home on Mallo ry Parkway just west of U.S. 31 on a report of a working residence fire. There, firefighters say they were met with “heavy fire.” Crews marked the fire “defensive” due to the intense winds, the fire’s progression, and the home’s ceiling collapsing.
