The Parker County Chamber of Commerce did something good to honor a longtime community leader. It presented its first-ever Legacy Member Award to Lyn Walsh. The award represents the Chamber’s highest recognition and honors individuals whose sustained leadership and lasting contributions have significantly strengthened both the organization and the broader Parker County community. The Chamber announced the award will be presented only once every decade, underscoring its rare distinction. Walsh served multiple terms on the chamber’s board of directors, including two terms as board chair. Colleagues describe her leadership as both visionary and deeply rooted in service. Through the trusted relationships she cultivated within the Chamber, she also helped advance the mission of the Careity Foundation, securing sponsorships and resources that allow the organization to provide cancer screenings, diagnostics, biopsies, and critical support for uninsured and underinsured families throughout their cancer journey. ...read more read less
