On Monday at 1:34 p.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 2 p.m. until Tuesday 11 a.m. for Rensselaer, Columbia and Dutchess counties.“Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected,” comments the weather service. “South to southwest w inds will strengthen this afternoon into this evening before a potent cold front sweeps through the region tonight resulting in winds to switch to the west.
