The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:21 p.m. on Monday valid from 8 p.m. until Tuesday 8 a.m. for Herkimer County.“Total snow and sleet accumulations between two to four inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph,” can be anticipated according to the weather service. “A strong cold front will move through tonight, bringing a significant drop in temperatures to below freezing for precipitation to change over to a wintry mix and snow.
