RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The fourth annual Teen Summit RVA took place on Saturday at the Greater Richmond Convention Center with the theme "limitless."
On Saturday, March 14, the Teen Summit RVA took place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, where high school students gathered for a day-long
leadership summit. The event is designed for teens, led by teens on the Regional Youth Advisory Council.
The RVA Teen Summit provides a platform for teens to raise their voices and build a path through exchanging ideas on leadership pathways for positive change in Richmond.
"The most important reason to be at Teen Summit is just to not only do you have so many opportunities here, I mean, this whole place is just opportunities, but you have the ability to, you know, talk to colleges and possible careers," said Joseph Carter, who has been a part of the RVA Teen Summit committee for about four years.

Some of the experiences at this event includes thought provoking dicussions led by experts in their fields with art and spoken words as a way of expression.
Additionally, the teens also explored the careers and summer job opportunities at the Inspire Youth@Work Career and Resource Fair.
"You also have the chance to connect with your friends and peers, you know, and just getting social connection, you know, off of the screens, off of social media and in person and, and getting free food while here is just a great experience," Carter said
