The City of Oklahoma City is inviting people to share their input as part of the Downtown Oklahoma City Strategic Plan, a long-range effort to shape the future of Downtown and Bricktown. The 10-month process will develop an implementable vision to guide land-use, public infrastructure and pri vate development decisions in the urban core. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas by completing the Downtown Strategic Plan online survey by March 27. “Oklahoma City has experienced a lot of growth in the past few years, and we have all seen how downtown has evolved and gained momentum via MAPS and community investments,” Justin Henry, Oklahoma City program planner, said. “While we now have many big-league destinations and areas that are experiencing strong growth, they are often disconnected or separated by barriers. By taking our survey, City residents and visitors can help us out by telling us more about what they see as downtown’s biggest opportunities and barriers.” Community input will help identify priorities around connectivity and mobility, open space, redevelopment opportunities, residential density and tourism. Learn more and take the survey. The study area generally includes the area bounded by the Oklahoma River to the south, Western Avenue to the west, NW 13th Street to the north and Interstate 235 and Interstate 35 to the east.
