Photo Courtesy Columbia PD COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the Columbia Police Department, the Gervais Street Bridge has reopened following a fatal three-vehicle collision around 8 p.m. on Saturday night. Officers say the cause of the collision remains under investigation. The Richland Co. Co roner’s Office is assisting the Traffic Safety Unit with the collision. Columbia PD reports that a male driver died as a result of his injuries, and a female passenger is in critical condition at a hospital.
