(KRON) -- An 85-year-old man faces one count of murder after being arrested in connection with a double stabbing of a couple in Bay Point this past week, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. Rogelio Barajas Martinez, of Bay Point, was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on Thursday and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, said CCCSO. Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Riverside Place to investigate a medical call with a request for police response. At the scene, deputies found a man and woman suffering from stab wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the man was taken to a nearby hospital, said authorities. Her identity is not being released at this time. "Detectives say this incident is domestic related. The investigation is ongoing," said CCCSO in a social media post. This is an active homicide case.
