Winter storm warning issued for Western NY, Finger Lakes until Saturday midday

On Friday at 1:50 p.m. a winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 5 p.m. until Saturday 11 a.m. for Wyoming, Cattaraugus and Erie counties.“Total snow accumulations 6 to 10 inches. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph will produce areas of blowing snow,” can be expected a
ccording to the weather service. “The highest snowfall amounts are expected across the ridgetops of Wyoming County, with slightly lower snowfall totals across the surrounding hilltops in Southern Erie and northern Cattaraugus counties.
