Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for crews working LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 11, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of rolling roadblocks on the Blue Grass Parkway on Friday, March 13.  Rolling roadblocks will occur on the westbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway between milepoint 71 (just west of the U.S. 60 interchange) and milepoint 63 (near the Kentucky River bridge) beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 13, weather permitting. The rolling roadblocks are necessary to allow crews to safely repair multiple potholes in the area. Traffic will be temporarily slowed and, at times, stopped to allow crews to complete repairs near live traffic. Motorists should use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone. All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways. Residents can report road hazards, including potholes, under the “Contact Us” menu at the top of the KYTC website found here: http://transportation.ky.gov District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
