Wed evening forecast – Mar 11, 2026 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ve been dealing with an active Wednesday that included a morning round of severe thunderstorms and some renewed development into the afternoon. Prepare for a bit of a colder day Thursday before we turn temperatures back upward into this weekend. By early next week, an even bigger cold blast looks to swing in. Wednesday night: Scattered showers will remain in play into tonight, and we may even have a few snowflakes mix in. Lows to drop all the way into the upper 20s to low 30s. Thursday: Expect a cold start to the day with wind chills in the 20s. There will be plenty of sunshine, but highs will only top out in the upper 40s. Friday: Warmer, but very windy conditions will prevail Friday as a stronger low pressure center passes north of us. This could lead to some morning showers. Wind gusts, however, will be the big story as they look to reach 35-40 MPH at least with possibly localized higher gusts. Highs in the mid to upper 50s. 7-Day Forecast: Saturday features highs a few degrees cooler with numbers in the low 50s. Then, temperatures launch into the mid to upper 60s with increased humidity ahead of another organized system. This will bring more rain and storm chances Sunday, and it could eventually lead to a severe storm risk outline at some point. We’ll keep an eye on how this trends. By next Monday, a slam dunk of colder air swings in with highs tumbling into the low 30s with a rain/snow chance. ...read more read less
