RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has reported on new cases of measles in the state since Friday, March 6. The two new cases bring the total number of cases in South Carolina related to the Upstate outbreak to 993. There are currently 42 people in qua rantine and two in isolation. Health officials say vaccination continues to be the best way to prevent measles and stop the outbreak. Vaccines are available at many primary care provider offices and pharmacies, as well as DPH Health Departments.
