The Pasco County Sheriff's Office (PSO) said one person has died, and three people were injured, including a deputy, after a shooting in New Port Richey.Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said a man and woman were at Davista Avenue and S awtell Street around noon, clearing a lot of land. While the man was on the phone with 911, he was shot by the suspect, Sheriff Nocco said. The woman was also shot.Deputies found the suspect's home and approached it. Sheriff Nocco said the suspect was seen holding a gun, and deputies demanded he drop his weapon. When he did not comply, multiple shots were fired, and the deputy, along with the suspect, was shot and injured.PSO's PIO confirmed the deputy was transported to an area hospital, and his injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.If you point a gun at a Pasco Deputy, you're gonna get shot, and that's what happened today. There is no apologies.
