Former NU President Ted Carter (File photo from University of Nebraska Communications)COLUMBUS, OH–(KFOR/News Release Mar. 9)–Ohio State University confirmed Monday their Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation from President Ted Carter, after he recently disclosed that he had an inapprop riate relationship with someone seeking public resources to support her personal business. Carter, the former president of the University of Nebraska system, said in a prepared statement, ” I disclosed to the board of trustees that I made a mistake in allowing inappropriate access to Ohio State leadership.”  Carter went on to say, “I have enjoyed a strong working relationship with the board of trustees, and I’m grateful for their support and guidance.”  “Lynda and I leave Ohio State with gratitude and appreciation for this wonderful community. It has been an honor to serve as this university’s 17th president, and we wish the university ongoing success,” Carter concluded. Carter served two years at Ohio State in the same role he also served in at the University of Nebraska.  Carter was NU’s president from 2020 to 2024, before taking the Ohio State job. ...read more read less
