Violent fugitive arrested for illegally reentering the U.S. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man who had been on the run since the spring of 2025 was arrested in central Indiana on Thursday. Indianapolis Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a release Monday stating 37-year-old Angel Roman-Hipolito had been in the United States illegally before being deported in 2023 after serving a 100-month long federal prison sentence for drug trafficking. Police say he illegally reentered the country and in the spring of 2025, Roman-Hipolito fled from police during a vehicle stop. He was located in Boone County but police were not clear has to how they knew he was there. At the time of his arrest, he was wanted on a federal warrant for violating the terms of his supervised release. During his arrest, Roman-Hipolito provided law enforcement with a false name and was in possession of false identification documents. His arrest was part of Operation No Escape, an FBI-led intuitive to locate and arrest “violent fugitives.” In the release, Special Agent in Charge Timothy J.
