Alameda sheriff seeks help locating missing fisherman

(KRON) -- Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who was last seen on Saturday, March 7, in eastern Alameda County.
Shahanur Alam, 46, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said Alam is
clean shaven and wears prescription glasses.

Alam was last seen around 10 a.m. on Saturday when he told his wife he would be back home at around noon, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. His last known location was West Grantline Road near Midway Road, just west of Mountain House.
“He was in that area to fish,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “When Shahanur did not return home several hours after he was expected, a friend went to the area and attempted to locate Shahanur.”
Authorities believe that Alam is in possession of his phone and wallet.
