Mar 08, 2026
Airbnb wants your home and they’re willing to pay for it.
In anticipation of this summer’s monumental FIFA World Cup 2026, the rental company is offering homeowners $750 to list their property on Airbnb.
“Under the offer, new entire home hosts in any of the 16 World Cup host cities in
Canada, Mexico and the US who welcome their first guests between now and July 31, 2026 are eligible to receive $750 USD,” the company said in an announcement.
Demand for rental properties is surging, the company says, as preparations continue for one of the world’s largest sports operations this summer.
There is some fine print to read before signing up.
To be eligible for the $750, you must be a first-time host with Airbnb or have no active listings as of Feb. 1 of this year. You must also reside within a designated zip code near one of the host cities. Find the zip code list here.
FIFA World Cup 2026 is being held in 16 cities across North America. The tournament will run from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19.
It’ll mark the second time a men’s World Cup is taking place across multiple countries, as 2002 saw games in both South Korea and Japan.
