A driver was wounded in a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday night on the South Side. State troopers responded to the outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near 18th Street around 6:30 p.m. for the shooting, according to Illinois state police. One of the vehicles crashed into a light pole off the i nterstate at 36th Street and Wentworth Avenue and the driver was taken to an area hospital with injuries from a gunshot wound, state police said. His condition wasn’t immediately known. The roadway is expected to be shut down for canvassing, officials said.
