MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A 24-year-old is dead after a fatal collision in Mooresville early Saturday morning, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. It happened around 4:15 a.m. on I-77 North near mile marker 34 in Iredell County. Troopers said a Honda Accord was disabled in the right n orthbound lane with no lights on. A Ford Explorer then collided with the Honda, which then hit the driver, Kylah Wheeler, who was outside the vehicle at the time of the collision. Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford driver, 41-year-old Natalie Plummer, was not injured. Neither speed nor impairment were contributing factors in the collision.
