LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – March is recognized nationwide as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and a local hospital is hosting an event to help educate the community. Baptist Health Lexington will hold a free community health fair Saturday morning to raise awareness about the signs, pre vention and treatment of colorectal cancer. According to hospital officials, the event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Whitaker Family YMCA on Old Rosebud Road. Health officials say Kentucky has one of the highest colorectal cancer rates in the country.
