LOS ANGELES. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The California house featured in the classic television series The Brady Bunch has officially been designated a historic-cultural monument. The designation comes after a unanimous vote by the Los Angeles City Council. The more than 2,400-square-foot home on West Dilling Street was used for exterior shots of the iconic sitcom. The Brady Bunch originally aired from 1969 to 1974 and has remained popular for decades through reruns watched by multiple generations of fans. Last year, an attraction called “The Brady Experience” allowed visitors to tour recreated rooms inside the home where the fictional Brady family — led by Mike and Carol Brady — lived. Officials have not yet said whether those public tours will continue.
